Good pay but long hours and no work/life balance is the trade-off...
Pros
Good pay. You get paid commission on the product that you sell/deliver to the stores. Good benefits. Frito-Lay is a part of Pepsico. So the company is well-known and there is good job security and opportunities for career minded people. The salty snack business does mega billions of dollars each year and Frito-Lay leads the market. There's no real worry about a lack of job security.
Cons
LONG hours. Difficult to manage work/life balance. Being an RSR requires 11-13 hours a day on average, meaning I worked 55 - 65 hours most weeks. Sadly, you don't get paid regular 1.5x Overtime like most other people. If you make bulk deliveries to grocery stores, you have to start very early, 3:00 - 4:00am. Job requires repetitive motions and it is physically taxing. You are constantly bending, kneeling, stooping, standing, reaching, and twisting hundreds if not over a thousand times a day. Injuries are common. Work often feels ike that of an assembly line worker in a factory.
