Pros

Benefits are relatively good and you’re home every night.

Cons

PepsiCo states how important family is. That’s a lie. PepsiCo does not care about their employees or their families. PepsiCo only cares about their product and getting it delivered at any cost. You will work 12+ hour days working as quickly as humanly possible doing physical labor all day long and that will not be good enough. You will be expected to arrive at 4-430 AM with an overwhelming amount of nonsense to deal with first thing in the morning. There will be no one from management there to help resolve these issues as they do not arrive until 630-7 AM. You will be running around playing mechanic at 430 AM to get your truck out on the road so you can get through the day. You will be re-stacking pallets all day long in the trailer (100+ degrees) due to the lack of supervision and management in the warehouse throughout the evening while the trucks are loaded by warehouse personnel. Most, but not all accounts you deliver to will be very rude and nasty to you. Store managers will sometimes make you wait around 15-20 minutes to be checked in as if you have enough time throughout the day to complete the work PepsiCo has already put on you. Managers will always give you grief and tell you to pick up the pace in the field. PepsiCo has zero interest in ensuring their drivers are being treated decently by their customers. I can’t emphasize this enough. The equipment PepsiCo provides for a driver to complete an already overwhelming task is absolutely embarrassing. Management does not care that you do not have the proper tools to complete the task you’ve been assigned. Management will accuse you every time of being lazy and “no one wants to work anymore” “everyone wants a paycheck for being lazy”. Very few of their trucks have AC so there’s absolutely nothing to look forward to in between stops on a summer day. These people will literally run you into the dirt then tell you, you’re lazy. They do not appreciate their employees. Work/life balance is absolutely all work and no life with PepsiCo.
