-Successfully changing their old habits, refining processes, and looking ahead (Accelerate program) -Possible to advance and move to other jobs with only a modicum of success -Globally recognized brand opens many doors -Great time for growth opportunities as the old structure is swept out

Cons

-HR seriously hinders the business and estranges employees -IT is incompetent and unlikely to change, as the management remains the same -Dutch "polder" culture makes decisions slow to come -Pay is not competitive (friends regularly receive a 40% raise when leaving to another company) -Employees are disposable

While a big company has its benefits, it also has its downsides when it comes to red tape etc You'd have to push, really push, and play a little bit of office politics to be able to advance in your career

Cons

Sometime too slow but this is improving. Lots of bureaucracy, but there are changes being implemented to change this.
