      Very Satisfied at Philips Lighting, although future is bleak for my sector.

      Pros

      Great Salary and compensations, lots of vacations days. The Company as a whole is one a great place to work. Great career opportunities if you really show yourself.

      Cons

      I work for Philips Lighting in the "traditional" lighting sector. Everything is LED now and my plant is not part of this future, 2 years of life at most.

      Plenty of space for learning, allow one to take charge of his career, cross functional transfers are very encouraged.

      Cons

      doesn't manage poor performers well, allows a big bunch of them to breed which hinders progress of projects.

      Pros

      -Benefits are great. No free lunches every day like they do at those start-ups, but the necessities are there. -The management is willing to work around you, provided you get your stuff done. -Plenty of work, and lots of room for horizontal movement. -Good people here also. The company tries hard to break team silos. -As an established company, the job is very stable.

      Cons

      - It's an FDA-regulated company, so look forward to lots of documents and formal processes.
