It's an ok place to work if you don't need need to work with other divisions

They have some good innovative products. They are good about work/life and needing time off.

Cons

There is a lot of politics between divisions. Any project that spans divisions or business units causes political infighting.

Pros

great company with great vision. Flexibility to be able to manage personal emergencies/ situations. Open communication, manager have cubicles just like their sub-ordinates. Great work culture, knowledgeable team, and lots to learn.

Cons

Need to work on recognition tools.

Pros

Philips is a well run company. One good reason to work at Philips is to take advantage of the benefits offered when you have a large group of people. The heath and dental benefits are good but the additional insurance of long and short term disability are great, but they do go away when you leave. Philips is definitly a top down company which when you are involved in such a big company is a good thing.

Cons

One downside of working at Philips Electronics is it's size. The very factor that makes it great also makes it less than ideal to work for. Sometimes you realize you are just a number.
