      Volcano Corp was great but Philips wasn’t

      Pros

      Awesome VP of ops. She came from the line and worked hard to be up the ranks. Older management were all awesome but once Philips integrated their managers and beliefs into volcano people it wasn’t great. It was such an awesome place to work for before the political stuff came on board.

      Cons

      Orig workers were all great people to work with but when Philips mentality came in, they bulldoze the talents out of that building to build in Costa Rica, which had some major re-calls which when we built in the US, there were never a recall.

      Pros

      Could be a great place, it has the right values of impacting the health and wellbeing of people.

      Cons

      Too complicated organizational structure with no accountability. All decisions are pushed up to senior leaders. Also a very Dutch company which does not like outsiders “if you ain’t Dutch, you ain’t much.” Very hyper critical of new ideas. Not a transparent operating system or behaviors.
