Pros

Excellent benefits. This is a great place for college students who needs employment to pay their bills because they are a 24/7 operation if you work as a monitor. I personally think the 11-7 am Sun-Thursday is best for students.

Cons

The management is terrible. They are not flexible when you need to change your schedule due to family emergencies, child care or school schedule. So, be prepared to stick with the schedule you chose for at least a year.

Pros

Pleasent place to work, good salary. Work with a team of dedicated intelligent people striving to achieve profitable results for the company.

Cons

Management reviews uncontested. Dutch leadership takes priority. Patent applications subject to peer review. No flex time for summer time. Publishing a key requirement for advancement.

Pros

I grew up in a country where Philips brand was highly appreciated. Working for them was like a dream came true. Professionally , I've learned a lot . I was lucky enough to have two managers highly supportive , and I was able to climb on the company hierarchy as well.

Cons

Big company with strong culture and highly developed political networks. That, sometimes, get in the way and even prevail the commercial aspects. That might be true for all large corporations, but I wouldn't know as Philips is the first MNC that I'm working for. Despite the global coverage, the company mentality is strongly European centric. The perception in the regions is that ideas coming from a group in China (for example) are considered, by default, less relevant compare with something that is developed in Netherlands. For the same reasons trends in the regions other than Europe are also not well monitored and that had significant impact on the business.
