Pros

Nothing at all. Wouldn't go back.

Cons

Almost Everything. Customers ( don't know where they come from) but have no basic humanity...will shout and yell over the most trivial and petty things which are out of our control..eg. not receiving a refund when they themselves are in charge of keeping a receipt safe. Another example- being abused by middle aged/mid life crisis women for not folding clothes ( to their standards) and trying their best to humiliate in front of hundreds of other waiting customers. This type of abuse occurred pretty much over the course of my employment...so i had that to look forward to every weekend. Managers would scrutinise over sick days taken. Isn't it normal to get sick once in a while, sometimes some individuals would try to force me to come in anyway? Is this normal behaviour for such a well known company. Had the company of a number of different supervisors over the time i was employed...the odd ones were bareable or even reasonable. Some of the younger male ones were on power trips, giving me looks and being on my case for any excuse they could find. One i remember particularly had a very obvious anger problem, maybe couldn't handle the "stress" of being a supervisor and took it out on me. An older man who also got the position and every opportunity he could get he would berate me..he would laugh at my expense and gossip about me to some other colleagues. No professional conduct AT ALL and had the strangest character, no decency whatsoever. Management really need to vet the people they decide to promote to higher supervisory positions. Also managers in the highest possible positions need to learn to respect all staff, even those they deem below them. All in all its very unlikely i would ever work for Primark again.
