Pros

Weekend only contract is very suitable for students and school pupils. Pay is over minimum wage. I earn £4.80 an hour and I am 16.

Cons

No discount Pay, although over the minimum wage is still fairly poor. Distinct lack of communication between managers, so you can be given 4/5 tasks to do at once on an urgent basis. I was never shown how to do anything, I just winged it and then got chastised for not knowing how to do anything. Department system is very rigid,I would have to stay in a very small department with nothing to do when other departments are struggling with lots to do and not a lot of staff. HR can be very rude and

- A good amount of overtime available. - A good place to start your career in retail.

Cons

- Bad management. - The payment is really bad compared with the work you are supposed to do. - It gets boring after a few months. - Not competitive. - You can't progress.
