Pros

Primark is a great company to work for. I am in college and work part time at the weekends in penneys. The company is a superb company that does a lot for their staff. The wage is great and the union are always working on increasing our minimum wage and also working annually on wage increases. 4 weeks holidays a year and the freedom to be able to take extra days at your own expense. The best thing about working for primark is that there is ALWAYS room for self improvement and also promotion.

Cons

The busy-ness at the weekends and christmas, and customers can be rude

Pros

If you're anti social then night shifts are great as you can focus on your one job and not talk to anyone the entire time. In fact bubbly and happy chatty people almost aren't welcome as they annoy all the zombie faced co-workers.

Cons

The pay is atrocious for the hours that you do and does not justify everyone's hard work. Being paid under £7 for night work is so wrong and they seem to be completely baffled and constantly irritated by the lack of staff and people leaving the job as quickly as they started. The bottom line is if you don't respect your staff and pay them a justified amount then they'll leave.Night work isn't the most desirable job in the world, but if it was £10 - £12 an hour you would keep your staff longer and they would work harder. Don't tell me that Primark can't afford to cough up the cash when they make millions a day. No matter how massive your company is, if you pay peanuts you still get monkeys.
