Pros

Good place to start if you have little/no job experience, good amount of breaks, fair amount of paid holiday days, good hourly rate, lots of overtime opportunities, friendly co-workers, always willing to promote within the company, good relationship with managers although it really does depend on the store

Cons

No discount/benefits, lack of respect and understanding from customers (usually ones that have never worked a day of retail in their life), shop floor recovery can be long and tiring, can be overwhelming as a supervisor especially if you're the only one on the floor (especially during busy times), high rate of staff turnover for weekend staff

Pros

Staff are really friendly and helpful, despite all the hard work and stress that comes with working for Primark, they always seem to find the strength to keep on going by putting on a smile.

Cons

Job is stressful and staffs always feel so unappreciated. I won't recommend anyone there unless you have no choice. No staff benefits (except pension scheme) Less pay especially compared with the work load that people have to do there, No staff discounts No Christmas parties, except ones paid for by staff themselves. No form appreciation from some senior staff

Pros

I was supported by a great team that was passionate about their jobs. I was provided with the necessary tools to excel in the position. The management team was extremely supportive. Schedule was very flexible, I had plenty of time for family and friends. A very intelligent management team that was very much involved in the every day business to support business managers, There was a high level of integrity and follow through on their commitments. They excelled in customer service.

Cons

I had no cons, they provided all that I could ask or expect from a business.
