Pros

Employee discount on some products. Offers opportunities for youth workers. Interview and orientation process was kind of fun.

Cons

The pay is very low. I understand retail positions aren't known for high pay. But to deal with bad attitudes from customers, co-workers, and management the pay is low. This job like a lot of retail jobs it gets boring. Co-workers stealing from others lunches, management plays favoritism, and to many responsibilities falls on you for the low pay.

Pros

Good pay (in central functions). Very female friendly environment.

Cons

Not enough staff to do the work which leads to a culture of a lack of ownership and buck passing. Pushy culture where aggression is mistaken for leadership with staff interrogated in a Spanish inquisition style in team meetings over 'Why they didn't ask something/ think of something etc' and openly embarrassed by management in front of their peers. Poor understanding by management of the issues that store staff may bring when introduced to a corporate setting. When concerns about a bullying colleague are raised these concerns can be dismissed as a lack of openness to diversity.
