Pros

Long history of loyalty, strong brand development and growth. Great benefits and look after employees well. Previously a good pension scheme.

Cons

Such slow decision making processes, control by a small hierarchy at local level. Poor work life balance as you progress in seniority and small sites are 'political', leaders drive personal agendas versus company interests.

Pros

Great salary, benefits, and opportunities to climb the corporate ladder. Great training.

Cons

Typical massive company. Profit is all that matters, and the products are boring. It's very difficult to be motivated about selling or marketing soap. There are very few opportunities for creativity. The majority of employees are overworked and burnt out. You're basically getting paid to manage chaos, and you are expected to take accountability when things outside of your control happen.
