Pros

It's a varied environment with a great deal of talent. The business is exciting and growing. Each day brings new challenges and everyday opportunities to meet new people. Great opportunity to travel and work in different location. You are given a huge degree of responsibility early on.

Cons

it's difficult not to see yourself as a small cog in a big wheel. as per the plus's, being such a large company, change is difficult and time consuming. As per all functions within the corporate environment, the workload is excessive and that won't change. Alot of people burn out and there does not seem to be the caring attitude in reality as per total management expectation from very senior management

Pros

One of the best FMCG companies to work for. Significant opportunities to learn and grow in the early career. salary and benefits are very competitive. Work environment is comfortable. Company spends significant amount to insure minimum disruption to life of the employee when in transfer or relocation. Despite the huge size, growth and profits continue to grow. Highest level leadership is in tune with forces shaping the future of business.

Cons

Easy to get pigeonholed into a particular role unless one makes persistent efforts to convince managers for a change in role. Minorities can have a challenging time proving themselves in the mid-west centric culture.

Pros

Great opporunities for real freedom very early in your career. When you are told its your job to do x or y, it really is. Management is generally supportive and provides strong coaching. The training that is provided is very good and is common to all employees which creates a strong unity of purpose.

Cons

Expectations for career advancement can be overplayed. When you are told you will be associate director in 8 years this is only true if you are both exceptionally talented and have complete international flexibility. The organisation can also be quite rigid, if you haven't used the right words to describe your idea it probably won't go anywhere.
