      -Coworkers work hard and play harder -Open door management policy -Lots of "morale booster" events and fun things

      -Can be a bit overly political sometimes -Requirements have a tendency to change last second due to demanding business group

      Pros

      I worked in the Information Technology division of Publix Super Markets Inc. The reason I went to work at publix was to get training in working in a development environment. Publix is very team oriented and applies the textbook strategy of development. So here you get the feel of everything from the business group to the programmer. It is a breading ground for developers. Youhave opportunities to learn different systems that are used on a daily basis by the company.

      Cons

      Some of the downsides is having to work 45 hours per week to recieve the year end bonus from the company.
