Pros

Decent benefits for a company based in central Florida.

Cons

- Information Systems (IT department) is poorly managed and feels chaotic. I/S teams feel siloed off. -There's very little help from other teams if you are using their systems. - All associates in this department seem to share the same belief; there's not enough time in the day for all their responsibilities. - There are very few architects, and they seem to be spread thin between all the projects happening at once. Technologies are carelessly thrown at dev teams without any training. There's virtually no direction due to their limited resources. - Developers are on fire, their managers are on fire, and it seems to continue up the "ladder." - Very little diversity within I/S corporate. - Pay is not competitive for programmers/programmer analysts/ systems analyst programmers.

Pros

I had a great time working at Publix. The did a great job investing in my education.

Cons

The 45 hour work week is not good, and it was often expected that I work more than that. Work life balance isn't good and pay is sub par as well. Very slow to promote.
