1. What you would expect from audit in terms of long hours and workload (AWM) 2. Unfortunately had a negative experience with a senior manager who played favouritism and made me the "fall" guy for why things went wrong in the audit despite me giving my best. She was very unkind and its upsetting having a mentor who did not speak up for me. Despite my longer time at the firm, partners could not speak up for me on the basis that they did not have sufficient oversight on the ground. Very toxic towards the last few months. Be prepared for politics as you approach AM/M given the limited spots due to upper management remaining in their cushy position.
