Pros

PwC is a great place to work with exposure to huge clients and important work. However the key to success is passing the accounting exams as when on a training contract that is all you should be focused on. No matter how hard you work, your future will hang in the balance depending on your results. So as long as you are academic and are lucky to be taking the exams at the right time, its a great experience.

Cons

Very structured, you get promoted year on year as long as you don't make huge mistakes. Promotions, salary and everything in between based upon exams results so incentive to work hard for rewards is limited.

Pros

Have the opportunity to advance. Pushed to be better. Work with a lot of smart people. Always learning something new.

Cons

No one cared that they paid you next to nothing. Partners can be very nice, but think you aren't smart enough to understand they make a lot more money when you work 70 billable hours per week.
