Pros

- Qualcomm has some cool hardware teams in Silicon Valley. - Can be a great place to pick up some embedded software or test engineering skills. - Good work-life balance - Free drinks/sodas

Cons

- Not as many opportunities as San Diego HQ - Feels like projects in the Bay Area are treated as experimental, and HQ is fine cutting entire teams/divisions - Takes a little too long to get promoted. Some employees deserve a promotion at least a year before it finally happens. - Salary is noticeably less than similar companies nearby, but Qualcomm's health, bonuses, and RSU program outweigh most companies.

Excellent RSUs, bonus, health plan and vacation time. Average base salary. QCOM offers engineers the opportunity to work on a variety of technologies.

Cons

Many old timers promoted to managerial positions lack planning /leadership skills. Daily status meetings (mornings, evenings and weekends) makes work/life integration difficult. Too many processes negatively impact the execution of the projects in a very competitive market.
