Pros

Lots of job security, rarely work more than 40-50 hours, 9/80 Fridays, and really friendly people for the most part. Alright 401k match.

Cons

Terrible performance development and review system - even after a recent revamp of the programs. Hard to move up due to strict HR rules. Younger talent is not given the opportunity to take on higher level tasks. Low salaries for the locations of major sites (except Tucson). Much harder to feel valued if you are not an engineer.

Pros

Place an emphasis on diversity Promote job rotations and career development Most leaders are great and easy to talk to great benefits & work life balance a lot of training opportunities if you are considered high potential continuously improving over the past couple years LDP allows select few employees to rotate to gain broad experience

Cons

not clear on promotion requirement HR is not the best middle management are mostly mediocre hard to lose people that are non-value added resistant to change at some sites that I worked HR does not help LDPs enough to look for good positions It's all about connections
