Management less competent than at most similar companies - serious deficit in basic management training. Employees constantly worried about what they say for fear of standing out or being politically incorrect - little honest communication. Management outside of programs stays in their ivory tower, so has no idea what's going on below them - seems like they don't want to know. Company tends to over-glorify high flyers too soon, promoting beyond their capabilities, especially women and minorities - sets them up for mediocrity - "they don't know what they don't know."
