Pros

Genuine and authentic people are easy to find at all levels of the company, leading to easy collaboration on exciting projects related to leading-edge technologies that protect national security and beyond.

Cons

Extensive cases exist where leadership does not understand what team members are doing the real work with deep expertise. Too many incompetent managers being promoted across company who do not provide coaching, visibility, and/or recognition for best employees who are leaving company for better opportunities and management.

Pros

Good Salary, Great Benefits... unless you get laid off

Cons

Layoffs resulting from Senior management failing to remain competitive and rely on sole source contract renewals versus competing for new business resulting in the demise of at least one of the major business divisions at Raytheon. The leaders get the golden parachutes while the employees get the layoff notices... 5,000-10,000 of them in 2013 with Wall Street cheering on the current CEO who is also about to retire and wants to preserve the value of his stock options.

Pros

Pay is great. That's the only reason to stay there if you can handle the rest of the stress that you're given.

Cons

Management is terrible. They don't communicate with each other. They also record your conversations without your consent sometimes so be careful of what you say. Don't trust HR. It exists to cover upper management's butts when they make mistakes. Don't fall for their "niceness". The most unethical management I've encountered in my career. Management expects you to work overtime without getting paid. They will be all nice to you when they invite you for an interview but you will see their real faces when you actually work for them.
