Very sub-market raises as RTX seeks to be average with its salaries No consideration for 20% inflation over the last 4 years. Executives getting very large increases (40-100%). Big stock buybacks which also benefits executives. Cutbacks in spending and investment to prop up cash flow used to buy back stock. As a result product cycles are impacted, innovation is stifled, and middle management keeps head down for fear of being cut like previous good managers and directors. Replacement managers are chosen to prop up HR metrics but are not knowledgeable, innovative, or effective. These actions will result in the same situation Boeing finds itself.

If you have a clock in-clock out mentality then you’re probably not going to be climbing the ladder. Not sure that’s a con, but people have interesting expectations…
