Cons

You work with extremely dated technology Turnover on my team was around 90% in the year I was there Management had little concern for the opinions of its engineers Good ole boys club Managers sit in meetings all day and seem to accomplish very little Waiting 12-24 months for clearance Raytheon will hire anyone with a pulse and a degree

Pros

Rigid, process oriented engineering company. From a stockholder perspective, it is a great company. They will always deliver on the numbers. Over time they reward leaders who achieve results,but it will be a long time. Compensation and benefits are competitive. The technical work and client challenges are authentic and rewarding to work on.

Cons

Getting paid and making a profit on every contract is the ONLY important topic. All staff , including leadership are expendable. Which explains why ... From an employee perspective, the management team will work you like a mule. The management at all levels only knows two management styles, 1) Directive and 2) Authoritarian. If you like rigid processes for everything you do, this could be your place. If you are creative and innovative, this probably is not your happy place. The environment drives exceptionally talented and marketable people out.

Upper management takes diversity and inclusion very seriously, but front line leaders do not. I've heard many racist, sexist, and transphobic comments made.
