Pros

Exposure to cutting edge technology and opportunities to work in many different fields if desired. Classified projects tend to be the most exciting and there's no shortage of them at SAS. When or if engineers are interested in trying a different type of task, line management does a good job of meeting those needs.

Cons

Another new initiative or process flowed out every few months. This causes workers to doubt the competence of upper management.

Pros

If you aren't very motivated and you're a low achiever, you'll get lost in the shuffle here. Nobody will fire you. You'll just get moved around from project to project as you upset your co-workers. Lots of projects to choose from.

Cons

You don't always know how to move from project to project. Easy to get pigeon-holed. Every department has vastly different budgets for raises and promotions. Therefore, equal treatment for equal work isn't usually the case between departments.

Pros

Raytheon is a great place to work if you have a family and you really need work/life balance. Its a great place if you enjoy being comfortable with your job and you are somewhat interested in career growth. The people at Raytheon are very nice and helpful. They also have great benefits.

Cons

Raytheon is average at best in compensation and raises. There are no guidelines in terms how you can grow to the next position. If you feel that you should be up for promotion, nothing will be done unless you push to initiate the process.
