Cons

Since it is a "union shop", seniority counts more than hard work "Legacy workers" just kill time until retirement Lower management can be disorganized when setting priorities

Pros

Very interesting and challenging work, and great folks to work with. Raytheon is ahead of most aerospace companies in making sure they remain competitive. There are opportunities to move between positions and even locations should you choose.

Cons

Political whims and funding battles will continue to impact all aerospace & defense companies. The pace of changes needed and ability to work changes with customers can be slower than you would like because the government does nothing quickly.

Pros

Diverse work assignments and opportunity to move into different roles. Good work/life balance. Flexible work hours and competitive benefits and salary.

Cons

Work can be unsteady at times in the defense contracting business. Hours can be long to meet contract deadlines followed by periods of sparse assignments.
