Pros

Interesting work. Good pay and work environment. Tasks are varied.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy. Hard to put new ideas forward, or initiatives approved. Hard to get a big picture view of the project.

Pros

Raytheon provides its employees with some of the best benefits available. Medical, dental, vision, and extremely flexible work hours. They encourage a work-life balance. Upward mobility is possible if you diligently seek it out.

Cons

Management and Engineering are both entrenched in the bog of being a defense contractor. Management has way too many layers, each one being exclusive of the other. Communication is poor, despite there being a record number of processes in place. Processes are partly to blame, culture is partly to blame.

Pros

Raytheon is a great place to develop strong forecasting and communication skills. Other benefits include - world-wide locations, 9/80 schedules, and great health/work life benefits.

Cons

Career advancement is not always balanced and is generally focused on years of experience versus talent. Job resposibilities are not always defined and high turnover coupled with staffing issues linger.
