Pros

Executive Management team is wonderful. I think there is a strong leadership team - making RMS a great sucess. II have worked for other businesses within Raytheon, and RMS is by far the best business. The 9/80 schedule is really nice since it allows employees to take care of personal business during the regular work week. RMS is one of the few businesses within Raytheon that actually supports the 9/80 schedule.

Cons

"good old boy network" - silos new or younger employees. there is a poor attitude from those who are sitting and waiting to retire.

Pros

Raytheon has interesting work and many things you can be involved with just by transferring to different businesses. You do not have to go to another company to work on something different. Right now there are plenty opportunities and variety as far as work goes. I feel the pay the benefits or good, but I am not sure how it compares with other companies. I know out of school, for the location, they offered the best.

Cons

Not enough motivation to have success other than not working weekends and no good way to bring on new ideas. I believe since all of the programs are military, new ideas seem to be looked down upon. Things ideas recieved, still be not be implemented.

Pros

Good name on resume. Good engineering company.

Cons

Too big, employees are overlooked a lot of times. Most raises (85%) are only 2.5-3.0%. It would take years to keep up with the industry your salary. After a while, you become the "working poor" if you hang out at the company too long. The career model requires you to "relocate" quite often to keep pace in your career knowledge and salary. Make certain you get a job promotion with every re-location effort. Don't establish any roots at any location. When you want to establish roots somewhere, change companies.
