Pros

Work is often challenging and compensation reflects that. The company strongly believes in training its employees. Appreciate that senior leadership I'm exposed to often adds value in meetings and project work.

Cons

In some jobs, the worklife balance is non-existent. You are on call 24/7. If you're not an engineer, there is limited upward mobility.

Pros

Stimulating work, relaxed atmosphere (business casual), great co-workers. Getting time-off when needed for emergencies, or just last minute plans is pretty easy, because of the size of the company. Many opportunities for advancement. Yearly reviews and raises are pretty consistent. You definitely know what the career path is; the company goes to great lengths to make sure that all employees know what's expected of them. For the most part, Raytheon, as a company abides by it's core values and stated objectives. The work pace is reasonable for someone who loves what they do and is motivated. If you don't like what you do, I would imagine that it could be a pretty tough place to work.

Cons

Very large company, so sometimes you can feel like a very small and insignificant cog in a very large machine.

Pros

Flexible work schedule gives Raytheon employees a great work / life balance. Pension and 401(K) match makes Raytheon's compensation package mostly unique, where employees get to "double dip." Finally, with management approval, employees are offered opportunities to work beyond 40 hours per week and get compensation pay for the extended work week (at the equivalent salary $/hour).

Cons

Slow moving (sometimes a glacial pace) company who reacts far to slowly to market and customer needs / wants. The employees are inundated with process, which is constantly getting more restrictive, disallowing the employee to use their best judgment as to what makes sense. The salary compensation is, I suspect, below average, but the overall compensation package is likely above average. However, the upsides FAR outweigh the downsides.
