Pros

-Once you're in, you're in. It's really hard to get fired here. -9/80 schedule means you work 9 hour days but get every other Friday off -Big push for younger engineers and minorities -Really cool projects to get involved in if you seek them out

Cons

-Creepy old men. If you're a young, pretty, female at this company prepare to possibly cause some cases of whiplash. The best way to counteract that is to hang a picture of your boyfriend in your cube (most guys will get the hint). -Soooo many rules and regulations but that comes with the industry -EXIM sucks. all around sucks.

Pros

Great pay and benefits - quality of work/life balance depends on the program you work on.

Cons

RMS has such a problem with nepotism and the management on Tier 2 programs very political. The overall environment was working in a very small cubicle area jammed in with thousands of folks who are encouraged to backstab fellow teammates. The continued reorganization in the Product Support Directorate was a joke. Only "Yes Men" are selected to report to an extremely difficult Director who shows very little concern for his employees.

Pros

Decent salary. Some managers are good to work for. 9/80 work schedule. VSP insurance.

Cons

You are constantly wondering if you'll have a job in the next couple months, even if you are busy. Business development has had a hard time capturing new business. They focus on large programs only. Rounds of layoffs are on going. Morale is low and there is no focus on the employee. Apparently, even people with 20yrs experience in a specialized field are dispensable. Health benefits suck. $2000 deductibles for the only two options.
