Pros

The people are technically excellent and are easy to work with. The pay and benefits are competitive and there is usually interesting and challenging work to do. 9/80 (every other Friday off) schedule and flexible work hours support the “Work Life Balance” that they promote.

Cons

While Raytheon is a great company, their Florida staff is Top Heavy, leaving little room for career advancement. They have been reducing their overall staff for several years now, while still bringing in new grads. They have not won any new business in quite some time.

- Most Raytheon engineers are top notch. - They pay for overtime. - They encourage work / life balance - Compensation and benefits package is excellent.

Cons

- Raytheon can be a bit bureaucratic (although for an organization of this size, Raytheon is not too bad). - Classified work must be done in a secured environment, so you often cannot work at home.
