Pros

As a recent college graduate and this being my first job out of college I can honestly say this company has been everything I could ask for and more. All of my managers extremely helpful and are amazing and the work environment and culture make it a place I want to be day in and day out. I could definitely see myself working for this company for a very long time. I especially like the tuition assistance they have if you are like me and want to pursue a masters degree. Highly Recommend if searching for a place start your career after graduating.

Cons

The work moves kind of slow but that is to be expected with government contracting.

Pros

I've worked for another defense contractor for around 7 years and I can confirm that Raytheon Missile Systems has superior management and culture, if not the best the industry; atleast in the navigation/state estimation group. In particular, management is competent, long-term forward thinking and encouraging. The most incredible thing about Raytheon is that learning is heavily encouraged and __funded__. The are a lot of opportunities for growth in many different areas. Apart from having your own high-tech business or tenured research in academia, Raytheon is THE place to be to improve yourself and change the world.

Cons

Some political decisions and red-tape still happen but they are to a much lesser degree than the other defense contractor I worked for.

Pros

The people, benefits, flexibility (flexible hours, PTO, etc.) , and amenities (gym on site with trainer, kitchens, cafeteria with good food, etc.) are great.

Cons

The company is top heavy and seems to have a hard time promoting good, young talent. (A sentiment I've heard expressed by others here as well.)
