Christmas to new year closure. a lot of good little benefits, rec center, education reimbursement. -there are some hardcore headcases, but you generally won't butt heads with them. unless you also strive to be one. -the average employee is generally friendly and laidback. throw a rock and you'll hit a jovial, knowledgeable, pudgy conservative dad in a Hawaiian shirt counting days to retirement. -if you are really ambitious and don't care about your personal life there is some room for you. if you want to coast and never work over 40 a week, there is room for you. if you are somewhere in between, its a bit dicier. There are many many many programs and departments, each of which is a fiefdom in itself. The higher profile "great for your career" type projects tend to be the draining ones with angrier people.
