The Worst Job Experience I've Ever Had

Pros

Work laptop and work phone.

Cons

Pay is below average. Impossible to have a personal life as you're expected to be on-call seven days a week. They force you to "volunteer" to work Red Bull activations/events over the weekends and threaten your job if you don't participate. Secondary school "clique-like" culture where if you don't fit in, you'll be forced out. Clueless upper management who will give you absolutely zero support or direction, but have no problem blaming you for their failures.

Amazing brand but tend to keep poor performing managers too long

Pros

- Ability to travel to national events - Company vehicle, insurance, and gas card - RRSP matching - Free product

Cons

- Field Marketing Managers tend to be lazy across the country and depend on 2 - 3 events a year to display decent work ethic - Best friends club (if you want to move up in the company, your skill set is worth something, but not as much as who you chum with in HQ) - Pay (Red Bull starts employees at lower wages, depending on perks of the job and the brand itself to entice people) - Inability to do proper market research in order to strategize in particular markets - Micromanaging unimportant things, not managing larger priorities properly - Managers miss a lot of meetings - Inability to follow through from meeting actions - Replaying events in markets without properly thinking about the overall return in sales (Crashed Ice in Quebec for so long, and now Rocks and Logs in Calgary) - Not listening to consumer feedback
