      Lack of Transparency and Plenty of Favoritism

      Pros

      Many employees get to work from home. Some projects are exciting. Benefits are good.

      Cons

      Lack of transparency is a huge issue. So much information is hidden and it's a closed-door policy for sure. Management will tell you one thing and then do something completely different a moment later. Leaders don't have the right level of accountability and a lot of rash decisions are made. Way too much focus on the bottom line and rewarding a small handful of favored employees. Consultants with solid performance get stuck in their roles while favored employees who are failing at their roles get promoted into new ones (I guess hoping something will stick? I saw this happen so many times). Employee turnover is very high with so many people leaving the organization. Salaries seem to be low compared to what other companies are offering.

      Pros

      Since you are on your own, there is a huge potential for learning, as with any small enterprise in the IT sector

      Cons

      Half the company is in a management role so expect a lot of dud managers. There is an inner circle that is always blessed and rewarded, the rest are mere worker bees.
