Pros

Management still has the approach to employees that existed when the company was tiny. They treat each employee with respect and consideration for personal situations. At Rizing you do not feel like you are just another faceless "resource" to be used. At most consulting firms the consultants are treated as just another tool to be used and discarded as market conditions dictate. If the market is down or the bench becomes too fat the big consulting firms layoff without any thought, but at Rizing employees are utilized to build intellectual capital and new products or develop new skills. It is rare for a consulting firm the size that Rizing has become to maintain the feeling that employees are part of the same family. Even while billable, employees are encouraged and rewarded for building new skill sets and earning certifications etc. The company celebrates the achievements of its employees publicly within the the company. At Rizing I know that I am one phone call, email, text message, or instant message away from being in contact with anyone in management and also know that they will respond directly to me. It's a good feeling to know that you are valued and appreciated. I have found that Rizing offers opportunity to those willing to reach for it. You can strive to achieve anything at Rizing and find yourself support by the management. In my experience the sky is the limit at Rizing. This is a company of go getters where you are rewarded and recognized for your efforts. That being said, the company also cares about the work-life balance of its employees. Life as a consultant means travel. In fact more often than not you will be on the road week in and week out. Rizing has instituted a Monday to Thursday travel approach. Most weeks that you travel you can count on only traveling from Monday to Thursday. Of course there are exceptions like go-lives or difficult to reach destinations that may cause longer trips, but most of the time the consultants can count on being at home Thursday to Monday morning. This schedule is jealously guarded by corporate and project management. Again, this is in contrast to other consulting firms. Rizing has the most experienced and knowledgeable consulting workforce with which I have ever worked. This has been a fantastic experience for me. I have learned from my peers and their experience and like to believe that they have done the same from me. The end result is that our customers benefit from employing Rizing for their projects. And Rizing benefits as do the Rizing consultants from a world class reputation that gives us cache and respect with the client. This in turn provides me with great satisfaction because of the respect and trust given me by the customers. This all comes with the Rizing name.

Cons

None at this time. I love working for Rizing. I really have nothing to complain about. It's a great company to work for.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are pleased you had a lot of learning opportunities and a great direct manager during your time with us. We are sorry you felt there was a lack of transparency. We have prided ourselves on being open, honest, and direct as a company, and will look into ways we can continue to increase the transparency. Since you wrote this review we have also been working hard on strengthening and embedding our organizational culture and are so pleased that so many of our employees are starting to see the impact of this..
