• The company moves slowly, fails to execute, and shows an inability to innovate in the face of agile competition.
• A lack of clear direction and vision often results in confusion, duplicated efforts, wasted work, and stalled projects. It is often impossible to get any traction.
• Growth and promotion opportunities are non-existent. (In five and a half years, I merely managed to move from contractor to headcount.)
• Large groups of people can be laid off suddenly when business growth slows down.
