Thanks for your honest review! Employees can always go to the Career Success Center where you can call or meet face-to-face with executives for career advice on how to advance. This is in addition to what is located in the portal under 'Career and Performance' and "Career Development". HR Direct or Success Map should help you find this if you have questions.

Pros

• The tight-knit teams are generally comprised of friendly individuals. • The office atmosphere is relaxed and the facilities are quite pleasant. • There is an unusual amount of flexibility with working offsite or remotely. • If you manage to stick around long enough, vest, and not get laid off, working at SAP can be smooth sailing because of numerous benefits.

Cons

• The company moves slowly, fails to execute, and shows an inability to innovate in the face of agile competition. • A lack of clear direction and vision often results in confusion, duplicated efforts, wasted work, and stalled projects. It is often impossible to get any traction. • Growth and promotion opportunities are non-existent. (In five and a half years, I merely managed to move from contractor to headcount.) • Large groups of people can be laid off suddenly when business growth slows down.
