      Slow and steady development, lots of red tape

      Pros

      - Nice work environment, friendly coworkers, big monitors and decent hardware for programming. - Not too much stress related to delivery. - Stock plan, rrsp matching, and other good benefits - good place to put in your time and go home after

      Cons

      - Everything is “enterprisey” - everything moves slowly, lots of red tape and politics in the way of doing the right thing. - Long term vision on building giant monolithic database to compete with Oracle, but written in javascript. - Need separate lengthy legal approvals for every software library including basics like jquery. - Was at meetings where we were told customers don’t buy their software because its good or usable, but because they’re contractually obligated to. If you have passion for and take pride in what you build, not a place for you.
