head office care very little about the little people

friendly working environment except for a few bad eggs. my manager is brilliant and the only reason I have given 2 stars instead of 1.
Cons
covid 19 has proved that spar care very little about the little people on the front line. we received no pay increase (unlike other chains such as aldi etc), the only 'thanks' we get (and I use that term very loosely) was an increase from 10% to 20% staff discount which is only useful if you purchase goods from there in the first place. Head office have no idea how the day to day operations work, I would invite them all to spend a day working a till shift and I would love to see them deal with customers who do not respect covid guidance, do not distance, do not wear masks. Maybe then they will realise hazard pay or some form of thanks in a bonus or pay rate increase would better support staff instead of a discount increase.
