Pros

Employer pension contribution Purchase holidays

Cons

3 mandatory office days: Sage say they listen to their employees and advocate employee mental health and wellbeing however internally majority of colleagues are incredibly upset with the office days now going to 3. Sage say this is global to make it fair which just highlights how distant senior management really are. Most of product/backline work across different countries so we will just be coming into the office to sit in teams calls all day. Sage have said the 3 office days will improve productivity but with no evidence to support that - unsurprisingly they said that productivity during COVID was at an all time high when they needed us to work remotely. To highlight the type of employer Sage have become they only notified employees of the increased office days after their internal glint survey which speaks volumes. Senior management: I find the decisions made not just to employees but to our products that come from senior management show no real understanding of staff or customers. Management just have no grasp of our customers actual wants and needs and are more concerned about new features that look bright and shiny and can be bragged about rather than providing customers with basic but incredibly useful features and maintaining a strong product with fewer bugs - it's a constant race to get new features released. Lack of promotions Promotions are constantly on hold. I have been put forward 3 times now from 2 different managers and am constantly being rejected for no reason other the lack of budget - this is a common trend from what I can tell in my area. Maybe spend less budget on meaningless instagram worthy moments that colleagues get with a couple of alpacas.

We appreciate your feedback and have read through your comments. Please note that our hybrid working approach is an important element of the way we work at Sage that is complemented by other benefits such as paid time to volunteer, the ability to work away for up to 10 weeks a year and free well-being support tools. We recently also answered a number of colleagues' questions about the new 3-day policy. If you've not already seen this communication on our internal intranet site, we encourage you to take a look when you can. It sheds more light on how colleagues will be supported as they adhere to our updated hybrid structure. More information about what we offer can be found here https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Benefits/Sage-United-Kingdom-Benefits-EI_IE1150.0,4_IL.5,19_IN2.htm - Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We’ll continue to work hard to improve how we enable colleagues to thrive.
