      Great place to be

      Pros

      This is only the 2nd company that I've been with for over 5 years, Dell is the second. They treat employees at all levels as people, not just assets to be moved around. They have been very accommodating when I took month medical leave of absence last year, and this year for a hospital stay. My disabilities are taken seriously by my manager and Principal Engineer.

      Cons

      It's not a perfect company. But, my complaints are few. No free food for the technical staff, though I have suggested it in my most recent local office survey.

      Pros

      CEO is ethical and did his best to retain employees during layoff season. Pay, benefits, and work/life balance are all good.

      Cons

      Pay and benefits are good, but aren't the best in the Bay Area. On balance I think it's still a great place to work, especially if you appreciate the fundamentals of supporting a family.
