Pros

Salesforce offers lucrative opportunities for financial success, provided that an individual can maintain employment within the organization after its acquisition of their company, or, as long as the stock price stays high.

Cons

The company engages in predatory practices, acquiring competitors and subsequently laying off its employees while simultaneously promoting its own “Ohana” culture. They have negatively impacted Mulesoft, Slack, and Tableau. During periods of stock decline, they resort to mass layoffs to artificially inflate the stock price. The sole mitigating factor is that I hold substantial shares in CRM. Salesforce also faces challenges in terms of career advancement. As a former employee, I experienced a prolonged period of stagnation in my position for approximately ten years. When management opportunities arose, which are infrequent, individuals like myself were consistently overlooked in favor of cronies or external candidates. This situation suggests that Salesforce does not operate as a meritocracy.
