Long bureaucracy for relatively simple tasks

my biggest complaint is that recently it feels like upper management have had a lot of demands for new shiny features, which is fine, but trying to develop lots of features quickly on the Salesforce core monolith is incredibly difficult. It doesn't seem like any development processes will change drastically in the near future, so many dev's on many teams are stuck trying to develop using incredibly outdated tech and processes in general. Trying to develop, build, test, and QA features (basically your whole entire job :( ) can take so long for simple things, and be a HUGE pain in the rear end as a result.
