Pros

It was once a best place to work and now it is the worst place to work. You cannot think of a single thing which is good at Salesforce currently.

Cons

The company now follows "Hiring and Firing" culture. The Managers have become too toxic and now only sycophancy and flattery culture works. The Company said it would fire 8,000 employees but has axed 16,000 employees in a phased manner in 4 months from Jan - April 23 including the employees who are in parental leave. They currently have 3000 openings again. Absolutely senseless management . There are no permanent HR professionals and it doesn't have a HR system to look into genuine issues of employees. Too much micromanagement and obviously fear of retaliation persists if we raise our voice. The senior management is insensitive and they are not in a position to hear about the grievances of employees. It is completely Manager-based promotion system and they would give it only for them who are their disciples and there is no transparency in it. There is always a concern of fear among all the employees and now external people are hesistant about the opportunities at Salesforce. Salesforce is not at all concerned about the Work-life balance and wellbeing of employees. They give unnecessary impossible tasks with strict deadlines, they follow-up on daily basis and they write whatever they want to write in a document. Try to visualize the situation of employees. This is their strategy of humiliating the employees and making them to put resignation on their own. This is how Salesforce is treating the employees post the Layoffs in Jan 2023. This is the dark and the real side of Salesforce.

Hi there — Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and insights, and we’re incredibly disappointed to hear about your experience. We never want an employee to feel unsupported by our company and our leaders. We understand this has been an incredibly difficult year, and we deeply empathize with the impact it’s had. If you’re comfortable doing so, we encourage you to escalate your concerns to our anonymous reporting platform, EthicsPoint, at salesforce.ethicspoint.com, where you can provide further information for us to investigate. (You do not need to be a current employee to submit.) In addition, please know that we listen deeply to our employee sentiment feedback — both via review sites (like this one!), as well as in our Great Insights Survey and exit surveys, which you mentioned above. These insights are consistently reviewed by both leadership and our Employee Success team (HR), who are committed to listening and learning to feedback. Thank you again for sharing, and we’re sorry to hear that your Salesforce experience felt counter to the values and culture we strive to create.
