Pros

As a worldwide number one manufacturer of the secondary battery, it was worthwhile to work with colleagues with self-esteem and hardworking engineers there.

Cons

Too much time was devoted to prepare paper works and reports to the management. Sales team(of my team) is in Cheonan, over 50 miles from south of Seoul area, which is a long way to commute.

Pros

As one of the most advanced chemical companies with high-tech in Samsung, it can give employees a sense of pride as one of the members of Samsung. Like any other companies under Samsung Group, it provides employees with pretty good benefits package and a user-friendly working environment.

Cons

I think its strong hierarchical structure often kills the employees' creativity by blocking them from speaking freely. In addition, working overtime is very frequent for not a few teams due to its working culture even when there isn't anything to do more. In addition, due to the frequent changes in decision making from Samsung's top management these days, nobody can guarantee employees that their business division will not be sold to other company outside Samsung without any notice.
