Pros

The pay is okay but with the money they make they can and should definitely be paying people more than they are Benefits are nice, if you actually ever get hired in Decent food options in the cafeteria for pretty cheap The work itself is pretty easy

Cons

They switched from working people 5-13 eight hour days in a row at a time, to working then a wacky 12 hour shift that's 3 days one week 4 days the next with overtime that's hard to get unless they like you. And now they're going back to 8 hours again after making us all go through this shift change for nothing! They run out of supplies all the time so you either don't work or come in and sweep the floor for 8-12 hours You can work hard and have great performance but you won't be recognized by your supervisor for it, probably your coworkers though. The management here is terrible, communication isn't a thing. Your complaints are heard by nobody. You have to literally go upstairs into the HR office if you want anything, don't expect your supervisor to do anything for you. The 2 weeks of training is the most unnecessary thing I've ever had to do before a job. They treat it like you need to be an engineer essentially to go far but then you get to work and they're like, "here, scan this and screw in these 6 screws and then hit this button." Seriously? They fire operators for mistakes that weren't the operators fault The workplace drama and gossip was INSANE. I've NEVER worked somewhere where more rumors and gossip was spread. You could miss one day of work and come back and half the people think you quit just because one person wants to open their mouth about something they know nothing about Speaking of that, you could get some life threatening illness or injury and have to miss work and they'll still give you attendance points for it, it's a "no fault" workplace so "every absenteeism is treated equally" They expect you to stand there at your station and stare into space if you have nothing to do. Pull out your phone for one second to check if it's raining outside before you go on break and you'll be written up They treat everyone like robots and that you don't have a life outside Samsung You can work there 6 months and be an outstanding worker and not get hired in but meanwhile someone incompetent will get in after not even 2 just because they have better attendance. The Korean work culture is strong here. Just show up and slack off and you'll be treated better. They started hiring in temps at a higher wage than a lot of people who have been here for months.
