      Pros

      You get what you put in... You can have a great career if all you do is work.

      Cons

      While they have a good employer value proposition, it is all lip service. SE wants to compete with tech companies or utilize the automotive companies' manufacturing principles and philosophies but don't want to pay for that type of work. Year over year the benefits package gets less competitive. Every year at the end of the year there are layoffs conducted in the shadows so they don't get any bad PR. These layoffs are a result of short-termism plaguing the supply chain organization. Those that stay need to carry on with even more responsibilities and expectations to do it all.

      Only know worldwide and a big company who buy business around the world and then kill them write of the loss to share holder

      Cons

      Work for share holder not for customer or employee SE killed a 60 year old Company "Pelco" . Pelco was the winer of 17 year in the row award for best customer service till 2007 (In 2007 Pelco sold to SE). It was best employer in Central Vally CA. In 2007 Pelco have 2530 Employee today when business for sale there are less than 500 employee. Till 2007 Pelco have 8 building now office in a rental place.

      Was a great company with leadership who cared about people, 3-5 years ago.

      Cons

      Stealth reduction in force happen often, with NDA and NSA strings attached. HR is not there to benefit and advocate fairly for employee’s but on behalf of business unit VP’s. Unfortunately I should have stuck around to get a nice pay day.
