Pros

Good benefits package, many employees with 15+ years with the company, helpful within my own department, charitable contributions, fairly quick hiring process

Cons

I could not believe the amount of politics, it is literally nauseating. If you desire ANY type of management position be prepared to brown nose until your lips fall off. 95% of management positions are held by men, regardless if there is a more qualified woman. Also, do not expect to stay in one management position for more than three years. I was so excited to work there until I realized the morals of most management. It is truly disturbing. There is infighting between departments that MUST stop.

Pros

Name known internationally. Sometimes you get international exposure. R&D department receives a lot of money from Germany.

Cons

At the Monterrey Factory, the current local management team is comprised of unqualified individuals. Starting from the General Manager, down to the R&D, HR, Quality, and Production Managers. It seems like these guys obtained their current positions because there was no one else when the positions were required. This is the same case for team leaders. The worst part is that these "leaders" don't take into consideration the feedback given by the employees. High turnover: In the R&D Department, at least one person quits every month. In the last 4 months I've seen 5 people go to other companies and many more are looking to do so as well. There is no clear vision of career development. Bonuses are given "mysteriously" only to some employees. The compensation plan is not what you would expect for a company like Siemens. Bureaucracy abounds, as the company has acquired the local (Mexican) way of doing things, instead of implementing the German way. Assembly line workers are treated very badly. HR team is a joke. Don't be surprised if you suddenly receive less money on your paycheck or if you are charged for random things.
