Benefits are decent compared to other places despite still high deductibles. Also you have to really do something wrong for them to fire you from what I’ve observed.

Cons

Be prepared to be at the same salary for your entire Siemens career. Don’t even dare to ask for a raise. Know you’re worth before walking in the door because they will insult you and lie in order to pay you in pennies. Don’t go below 60 for a senior buyer role.

Pros

Hard to get fired. Low pressure, low stress environment. Easy to skate by, if that's what you're into. Large company with a variety of policies, benefits packages, etc. I make pretty thorough use of the company vehicle.

Cons

Hard to get the basics to do your job. Huge disconnect between the corporate management and the 'boots on the ground' employees. Current product lines are agony to use, but corporate keeps plowing ahead full steam despite loud and frequent cries from employees and customers (the users). No emphasis on accountability, competency, or efficiency. Easy to skate by as a fraud...
