Pros

Excellent benefits, plenty of nice people.Interesting international opportunities. Generally socialist atmosphere. Diverse set of businesses and occasional transfer/move chances.

Cons

Intensely bureaucratic in a number of incoherent and clearly silly ways. Massive support organization cuts last year were painful -- not because of the cuts per se, but because the company took a year to do them. That caused intense politicking and crony protectionism. Complete inability to integrate acqusitions. Very poor at M&A. HR organization is a mess. Many middle managers refuse to speak openly and honestly to senior folks, who as a result are often delusional about morale or general corporate atmosphere.

Good work culture and full work life balance as it a one of the hallmark of a German companies. Subsidized food and travel at very low price. Flexible timings. No work pressure.

Cons

Type of work depends completely on the project you work on. Work is mostly maintenance. .Since projects are decades old so not much in sink with the latest technology. Rest everything is cool.

- No career development or effective learning path - Low salaries and very unfair salary system - Very bad internal communication - No possibility to give feedback about team leaders / management - Management is not willing to listen their employees - Great work and achievements are not recognised - You are "not allowed" to disagree with management - No mutual communication, only one way - from manager to the employee - Leading with fear, employees are threathened by getting fired or not getting salary increase - No competitive benefits
